PENNSYLVANIA HISTORIC MARKERS I’VE FOUND

Blue and gold roadside history, one marker at a time

Scattered along the roadsides of Pennsylvania — and wherever else my travels take me — are the blue and gold markers that tell the stories most people drive right past. Each one is a small monument to something that happened there: a birthplace, a battle, an invention, a person or event that shaped the place I grew up in and the country beyond it.

Pennsylvania alone is home to nearly 2,600 of these official state historical markers, spread across all 67 counties and covering everything from Native American history to industry, entertainment, and the fight for freedom and equality. That’s thousands of stories waiting along the roadside — and I’m slowly working my way through as many as I can find.

HOW MANY I HAVE FOUND

This page is where I’m keeping track of the ones I’ve tracked down myself, with photos I took standing right in front of them. Some mark famous history, others honor names you’ve probably never heard — but every one of them earned its place. I’ll keep adding new markers as I find them, so check back often. If you want to start finding PA markers , visit PA Historical Markers

Photos and entries will be added here as I track down each marker, organized by county.
